MOWAVE EXPANDS MAXIM MOBILE SERVICE TO 20 COUNTRIES, CREATING THE WORLD'S LARGEST MEN'S MOBILE BRAND

Following a year of rapid expansion, Mowave has established Maxim Mobile has as the world's most widely distributed men's lifestyle brand on mobile phones.

Maxim Mobile is a mobile service built around Maxim Magazine, the world's largest men's magazine with 27 international print editions launched in 36 countries. The magazine has a growing international readership of over 17 million, with four million copies sold each month. In the US alone, it boasts a guaranteed rate base of 2.5 million issues, making it also the largest men's lifestyle magazine in America, more than doubling the number of its nearest competitor.

Beginning in 2003, Maxim began extending its audience to wireless by partnering with Netherlands-based Mowave Inc. Mowave, formerly known as Mobile Media International, has launched 20 international mobile versions in 10 different languages. The service is available on official portal menus of over 28 operators, such as Vodafone, Orange, O2 and many more. The Maxim Mobile service is unique in that it closely coordinates its mobile content with each local edition, cross-marketing content initiatives in each country. It offers a global brand with an optimal mix of international and local content.

The Maxim Mobile site provides a wide range of men's editorial content on a subscription basis, as well as downloadable items such as ringtones, wallpaper, video, games, promotions, MMS blogs and a variety of Maxim-only wireless applications.
