MOWAVE AND MAXIM LAUNCH CAMERA PHONE “MOBILE GALLERY”

Mowave Inc. and Maxim Magazine are proud to announce the Maxim Mobile Picture Fun Gallery collaboration available on the official online Maxim Web site and Maxim Mobile wireless site.

The Mobile Gallery will allow Maxim readers to take amusing pictures of themselves and others, and submit them to the UK Maxim Magazine. Pictures will be reviewed and displayed on both the online and mobile Maxim sites, with Maxim Magazine editors choosing their favorite submissions to be published in the magazine’s monthly print editions. Users are also able to create their own personal galleries on the Maxim website. The initiative marks a new wave of collaboration between the print and wireless editions of Maxim Magazine.

“ We wanted to do something really fun with camera phones. After thinking it over, we realized that what we consistently found most amusing was the vibrant feedback we get from the Maxim Mobile readers themselves. It seemed appropriate to open the floodgates and see what types of submissions we’d get. I can proudly say, Maxim readers didn’t disappoint. We’ve received some truly hilarious submissions, while taking flattering picture of girlfriends also seems to be quite popular,” said Giles Richter, CEO of Mowave, Inc.

The mobile version of the picture gallery can be accessed by selecting the Maxim Mobile site on a wireless provider’s content portal service, or by accessing the worldwide Maxim Mobile site by typing in http://www.maximmobile.com in a WAP-enabled phone’s browser.

Maxim Mobile is a wireless content service managed by Mowave, Inc. and based on the popular Maxim Magazine printed by Dennis Publishing, Inc.
